The teachers will explore and find a list of educational websites and pictures to go with their website.

Warm up:
Teachers will read the article "Game-Based Learning: What it is, Why it Works, and Where's it Going" (see references for link). Teachers will talk about what the importance of these types of "games" and how they can help enhance lessons. Come up with reasons why they would want to use more interactive games in their lessons and when are good times and bad times.
Procedure:
Go over the reasons why we are looking into educational websites and talk about how we are going to make an educational activities page through SMART Notebook for students to be able to use at different points of the day. Explain that this page can be saved to the desktop of any computers in the classroom or lap tops you can sign out to use within your class as well. Show the video below to explain their first activity.
List making video:
Teachers can work by themselves or work with other teachers within their own grade level for support to come up with a strong list of skills, themes and other websites to be used.
After lists are complete teachers are to watch the next video below to show the next step of the day to come up with the websites they want to add to their activity page. Also remind them to "play" the educational games to make sure they are not just finding something to fill in the skill needed but that the game is really worth their students time.

After teachers find all of the sites and pictures they want for their page.They can spend the rest of the time and share with their other teachers from their grade level for the websites they found that they feel that are important for that grade level.
Wrap Up:
At the end remind everyone to make sure their list and pictures are saved onto their zip drive to use for the active day. Also make sure whatever computer you are on has SMART Notebook installed. If not go to the links and resources to download the SMART Notebook onto your computer.
